About Us:
I started Family Productions in 2006; however, I have been doing videography and photography off and on since
1992. Family Productions is a home-based business covering Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach, Broward
and Miami-Dade counties. I started doing video and photography on a more consistent basis because I saw the need
for more affordable professional wedding photos and videos. I want those clients who are working on a limited
budget or those who thought they could not afford both video and photography to be able to do just that - afford
both.
My specialty is the photojournalistic (candid) style of photography. I want to capture the essence of the event -- the
mood and feel of it. I will do the obligatory posed shots with the subjects, family and friends, etc. But the best shots are those of people simply enjoying themselves. My job is to make people feel comfortable with me being among
them with a video or still camera pointed at them. I want them to just act as if I'm not even there.
After hiring me for a job, people will sometimes say that at their last event they had a friend or family member
shoot it. Another scenario is that they had disposable cameras on the tables for the guests to take random pictures. Needless to say, most of the pictures were unusable, not to mention that all of the cameras were not returned. The
bottom line is that family and guests are there to share in the celebration and to have a good time. People do not
hire me to have a good time at their event; nor will I be there to eat, drink and be merry. I am there to work and
ensure that the client will have a lifetime of memories from the event.
I am the hardest working photographer you will ever find at an event. I am everywhere, capturing everything. Photography is a passion of mine as well as my job.
People have little problem buying a beautiful cake or flowers for several hundred dollars which will last for only a few hours; but, they will try to cut corners on video and photography which will give them a lifetime of memories to be enjoyed over and over again.
